シリコンバレーツアー : 第4回JTPAシリコンバレーツアー参加者募集
シリコンバレーの日本人ネットワーク団体JTPA（Japanese Technology Professionals Association, http://www.jtpa.org）では、来る2006年3月9日（木）～12日（日）に、学生、若手社会人の皆さんを対象としたシリコンバレーツアーを以下のとおり行います。

JTPAは技術を志向する日本人プロフェッショナルがシリコンバレーで働くことを支援するためのNPOで、IRS（米国内国歳入庁）より501(c)3免税認定を受けています。シリコンバレーで働く日本人プロフェッショナルのネットワーク構築に加え、日本在住の若手技術系の方々に対してシリコンバレーに関する啓蒙活動を行っています。
このツアーは、シリコンバレーに集まる世界のトップレベルの人材に混じって自分を磨き、テクノロジー業界で世界を舞台に活躍するプロフェッショナルを目指そうという学生（大学生、大学院生、高専生）および若手社会人の方々を対象にしています。シリコンバレーで働く日本人諸氏とのディスカッションを通じ、「グローバルなキャリアを築くことによって何が得られるのか」「キャリア構築のスタートとしてアメリカの大学院に留学するには」「卒業後どういうキャリアを追求すべきか」といったことを考え、キャリア構築の実行プランを立てる一助となることを目指しています。シリコンバレーツアーはこれまで3回開催し、参加された学生・若手社会人の皆さんから好評を得ています：

セミナーでは、JTPAコアメンバーなどシリコンバレーで活躍し日本でも著名な講師が登場し、参加者の皆さんと熱く議論します。JTPAでは、日本各地からの熱意あふれる若い皆さんとの出会いを期待しています。奮ってご応募下さい。

3. 募集対象・人数
日本在住の大学生・大学院生・高専生および若手社会人で、テクノロジー業界でのグローバルなキャリア構築を志向する方。18歳未満の方のお申し込みはご遠慮下さい。
募集人数：20名
募集期間：2005年12月1日より31日まで
なお、本ツアーは個人としての参加を大前提としており、出張扱いなどの参加はご遠慮いただきますので、予めご了承ください。
4. 費用
45,000円（宿泊料金、食事代、貸切バス料金、各種入場料、税金、チップを含む）
集合場所であるサンフランシスコまでの往復航空券は各自ご手配下さい。
希望者にはJTPAとの提携旅行代理店をご紹介します。
なお、費用は為替レート等により若干変動する可能性があります。
5. 申込方法

申込フォーム冒頭の免責条項をご了承の上、必要情報および志望動機（最大1600字）をご記入下さい。応募者多数の場合はこれらの申込情報を元に書類選考を行い、結果をメールにて通知すると共に代金の支払方法につき連絡致します。ツアー参加の意思表示は、通知メールにその旨返信した時点でなされたものと見なします。結果通知は1月初旬を予定しています。
6. キャンセル
代金振込以降のキャンセルは、ツアー初日の2週間前までは支払済の費用に充当するため、$100相当額を引いた金額を払い戻し致します。それ以降のキャンセルの場合、払い戻しは致しません。
7. 免責事項および旅行保険加入のお願い
JTPAの非営利法人としての性格上、ツアー参加者の安全・健康につきましては参加者ご自身の責任とさせていただきます。従って、参加者は18歳以上で、各自の良識・責任において行動できる方に限らせて頂きます。加えて、申込時に本ツアーへの参加は各自の自己責任であると同時に、疾病、傷害、盗難、紛失、事故などに遭われた場合でもJTPAを免責とすることにご同意頂きます。参加者各自が適当と思われる金額・条件の海外旅行傷害保険に、出発前に必ず加入して下さい。

セミナー情報 : Salon de JTPA第二弾：渡辺千賀

Product Manager, yahoo! Search Technology
Yahoo! Search & Marketplace is seeking a product manager to drive the company's global search platform with a focus on international markets. Prior experience working with engineering teams and international groups is desirable. We are seeking an individual contributor who is results-oriented, has strong analytical and linguistic skills and can effectively prioritize and multitask. In this position, you will need to be a strategic thinker as well as extremely detail oriented. The successful candidate will take end-to-end ownership of the product line, identify market requirements, define the product vision, create preliminary design concepts and drive the implementation of the overall product roadmap. The product manager will work closely with numerous functions both inside and outside Yahoo! They will build strong business cases for presentation to senior management and understand the technical requirements driving international product development.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Effectively collaborate with business, marketing, technical and design teams to develop requirements, prioritize enhancements, translate into MRDs/PRDs and drive projects to completion. Effectively interface with international groups to capture requirements and drive innovations for specific markets. Develop a functional understanding of the key technological and architectural basis of the Yahoo! Search platform to facilitate decision-making and cross-functional communication. Evaluate new technologies for licensing and integration into Yahoo! Search. Define, track and improve key product metrics and develop tests against those metrics. Conduct competitive analysis and identify areas for differentiation. Build positive relationships and trust over time through strong on-time delivery, high quality, continuous innovation, and exceeding expectations. Meticulously think through every aspect of the user experience, putting users? needs and expectations first in the definition of requirements. Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement, and incorporate new product features into the Yahoo! Search platform on an ongoing basis. Evangelize the capabilities and benefits of Yahoo!'s Search technology to other Yahoo! properties, and the webmaster community.
REQUIREMENTS:
* This position requires a BA/BS (CS/EE preferred) and 3-5 years of technical product management experience; an MBA is highly desirable.
* Demonstrated business, communication, leadership and teamwork abilities
* Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a highly matrixed organization
* An excellent track record of working with engineering teams and developing, launching, and marketing products.
* Experience with software, online products, search or enterprise
platforms is highly desired.
* Understanding of linguistics and general international issues (UTF/Unicode) required
* Fluency (verbal, reading, writing) in Japanese, Chinese or Korean highly desirable
